Life is so busy but I'm trying to keep mine under control, here's what's been going down in brief:
Had my hair cut at the beginning of March, wasn't totally happy so cut it myself 2 days later and then last week decided I still wasn't happy so went back for a third cut. Result, quite short now but I like it so no more fun with scissors for a while.
Have been really enjoying New Zealands Hottest Home Baker tv show. I'm a closet baker myself and made an awesome batch of chocolate chip hot cross buns last week, my first ever hot cross buns. The amazing lady who insisted on baking every recipe gluten and dairy free won which I was very happy with and incredibly impressed. Have decided to venture into a bit of gluten/dairy free baking myself and we'll see how I go.
Have decided doctors often take the easy diagnosis and it pisses me off. Have been doing some reading of my own and have begun to try to combat my recent systems the healthy way as the medication way was a giant failure and I wasn't ever convinced it was the right issue to treat anyway. Who knows, I could concoct a Lorenzo's Oil of my own..
Am loving time with my girls even though they also tire me out endlessly. They are growing up so quickly and it is quite a pleasure to watch them blossom. Amazing to think that I once cleaned their bottoms and washed their 0000 size clothing.
Just went to a Tae Kwon Do display that my Little Miss 13 was involved with and she was breaking wooden boards with her high kicks and everything. Very very cool.
The husband returns on easter friday after a month away. It will be nice to have him home, I miss him a lot, but my reign and method of running the house will be over. I like my way of running things. It's always funny the power struggles couples have after one of them returns home after an absence. I know we're not unique, I've spoken to other couples who go through the same thing, I just find it mildly amusing. At least we've been doing this for so many years now that our house running clashes are quite mild now, we've figured out life is too short to sweat the small stuff.
I've been taking piano lessons this term and loving it. Finally I am learning what all the funny symbols mean on the sheet music and this is one of the first things I've ever done solely for me. A very selfish way to spend money but I don't care. I'm pretty sure I deserve it. I'm mostly learning a mixture of classical pieces and Muse songs. You gotta stick with what you love after all.

Good on you for taking piano lessons! Totally excellent way of spending money, IMO.
I get the "wow" at watching my kids grow also... and they're not even anywhere near the WOW that will be puberty!
Photo of your hair please :)
Thanks guys, but it's a no on the photo. Not a great way to preserve anonymity you see. Besides, we haven't got a working camera at the moment.
